Frequently asked questions.
How much do pool water features cost in Tampa Bay?
It depends on the feature and the plumbing behind it — a pair of bubblers on a sun shelf is a different project than twin sheer descents in a raised wall or gas fire bowls with a buried fuel line. We scope everything during your free 3D design and give you a transparent, itemized quote, whether the features are part of a new pool or added in a remodel.
Do fire bowls for pools need a gas line?
Yes — gas fire bowls run on a dedicated fuel line, and in Florida that piping must be installed by a licensed gas contractor and permitted. LIV holds the gas license in-house and pulls the permits ourselves, so the bowls, the buried line, and the one-touch ignition all go in on one schedule. With Tampa Bay's mild winters, fire bowls earn their keep on cool evenings nearly year-round.
What is a sheer descent waterfall?
A sheer descent is a slim spillway set into a raised wall that projects a clear, glass-like sheet of water into the pool — more architectural than a rock waterfall, and quieter than you'd expect. Getting that even sheet takes properly sized, dedicated plumbing; undersized lines are why so many sheer descents dribble instead of fall. We mold ours into the wall during construction and light them with Hayward ColorLogic.
Can I add water and fire features to an existing pool?
Usually, yes. Bubblers and deck jets are easiest to add during a remodel or resurface, when the shell and deck are already opened up. Sheer descents typically go into a new or existing raised wall, and fire bowls can be set on coping, walls, or the deck with a gas line routed around your existing hardscape and screen enclosure. As a full renovation contractor, we fold features into the remodel plan.
How do I control pool water features and fire bowls?
From your phone. As an Authorized Hayward Dealer, we tie every feature into OmniLogic automation — waterfalls, bubblers, deck jets, lighting, and fire ignition all run as one-tap scenes. Set the sheer descents to start at dusk, wash the bubblers in ColorLogic color, and light the fire bowls for dinner without leaving the table. One app runs the whole backyard.
